My name is Aabiidaasmosede, Peter Angus Beaucage from Nipissing First Nation. I lived here all my life with my family whom I learned about our Anishnabie teachings and medicines. I retired from Canadore College after professing the Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention Program for 25 years. I developed this program for Indigenous and non indigenous students whom are interested in learning about indigenous healing. Today it's one of Canadore Colleges unique program in their social workers program. Since retiring I have spent many hours working as an Elder for the Ehnatig Healing Lodge providing Sweat Lodge Ceremonies and teachings to staff and clients. I'm also one of the elders that provide Healing and Teaching Ceremonies for the Ontario Native Education Councellors Association for the past 22 years. I also work as a Elder for Brock University with their students and provide direction and ideas to inhance cultural programs. I sit as an Elder to provide suggestions on the Two Row Wampum Committee for the University. I'm also requested by my own community to provide traditional Counseling and Ceremonies for Native Child Welfare and Cultural and Language programs.
